I think that all the people giving information about John are being honest, true citizens, as one should strive to be. I think that they are also trying their best to aid the police in their search for Polly, and that's all they really can do. Nobody knows about John's secret life aside from John himself, and he has been keeping everything under wraps rather well, I am kind of saddened to say. All liars and generally not good people deserve to have this kind of thing comeback to bite them in the butt, however, John has been okay, which really, really sucks.
I think all the people giving information about John want to help find Polly. They recognize that something is really wrong and want to in any way help figure out what really happened to Polly. I think these most of these people also want John to be exposed for who he really is. They see that his lies don't match up and many of them just want to know the truth.
Most people questioned realized that john was not trustworthy and was trying to hide something. Many also knew he was hiding something due to his nervousness and inconsistencies in his stories. therefore everyone being questioned is giving the police honest and full reports of their interactions with John.
I think that most of the people that were questioned did not know John and Polly very personally and were just saying what they had heard. Although, in all the fuss, I think the people must have realized there was something wrong with the whole situation, and started asking questions or putting pieces together themselves. I think that all the people being questioned are probably very confused and just want the whole issue resolved.
I think most of the people that were questioned were very curious about John because he was a suspicious man who always hid things, lied, made excuses, and acted strangely. All the people want to know the truth about John and Polly.
Most of the people who were questions probably had their suspicions about John confirmed. They were always curious about what he was up to and why he did what he did when they observed his behaviour, and now his actions are being questioned. They are willing to provide any information needed in order to finally know the truth about who Sgt. John Wilson is.
