What mood is created by the parallel narratives in the prologue?

  1. (Kaitlyn) The mood is gloomy and dark due to the murder and the sickness that the narrators talk about.

  2. The mood created by parallel narratives was very mysterious and gloomy. Introducing the unknown death of a woman brought a creepy and dark mood into the prologue. I think the prologue left the audience wondering about the mysterious death of the woman, and with a dark mood.

  3. The mood does seem rather... heavy. The dark content that starts the story definitely has piqued my interest!

  5. The mood is very dark, cool, and serious. It's also mysterious as it talks about the unknown death of a pregnant woman. The prologue can leave a reader feeling frightened, curious, and spooked.

  9. I don't find the mood gloomy or dark at all. It does have mystery, leading up to the murder of the woman. I find that it has a more calm mood. - Kamryn
