I think that John and Polly's reunion will be tense and awkward, at least for John, because he's fallen out of love with Polly and in love with Jessie. I think for Polly, the reunion will be simply joyful and amazing, because she's a blind fool.
I think in the past chapter when it mentioned that John bought a shovel it was foreshadowing that something bad would happen. What else do you use shovels for except burying wives that you want to get rid of??? I think John realized he was in too deep and the only thing left to do is get rid of the problem (Polly).
I think John and polly's reunion will be awkward because now Polly knows about John and Jessie's plan to get married. I think it's weird that he purchased a shovel though..I have a bad feeling about this. I feel like something dangerous will happen..and John will be responsible..
