I think that Polly is waiting for the baby to be born, so she can go to Blaine Lake and confront Jessie about her husband. I also think that Polly should leave John and go back to Scotland. The longer she stays with John, the more danger she's in. Simple as that.
I think Polly is still holding on to a small hope that John will realize he still loves Polly and their children together and will leave Jessie. I think she is waiting for John to realize how HUGE of a mistake he is making/has already made and hoping that he will want to fix it. In my opinion Polly should leave and never look back. John is an awful man who has lied about his life since the moment he arrived in Canada, I believe it was always his intention to betray Polly and their children, so I don't think he will ever change his mind. I think it would be best for Polly, and John is she just leaves and tries to carry on her life in Scotland by herself.
I think Polly is waiting for her hope of John running back to her to happen. She is still denying herself of the fact that John has moved on. Although it would be completely heartbreaking to do, she should just leave him and go back to Scotland so that she can go about her life without the chance of seeing John walking down the street with Jessie. She should move on.
I think That Polly doesn't want to believe that her marriage is pretty much over now. I think she's waiting for John to realize how much he loves her and their family. She is still hoping that this is just some sort of dream and wishing that her life could go back to normal. Polly is thinking about her children and how broken her family will be. She wants to everything to go back to normal.
I think that Polly is waiting for John to be the man he used to be and treat her like he used to. However, this is not going to happen because he is in love with Jessie and doesn't have the same feelings for Polly anymore. I also think she's hoping that John will say he wants to go back to Scotland with her and be a family again. I think that Polly should leave John. He is a very different man now and doesn't give her the love she deserves. He is unfaithful to her, and seems to have no interest in their children. She should be with the people who love her; her family, and move on.
I think that Polly is waiting and hoping that John will come back to her, she's holding onto her naivety, and innocence. I really think that Polly needs to grow up and allow herself to get over John, she needs to get out.
